My name is Tony Cavaliere and live in Toronto. I am a software developer specializing in the designing and developing of business applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.

My experiences include positions as lead developer on three large mission critical applications. All these applications use Microsoft technologies, namely, ASP.NET, VB.NET, ADO.NET, Web Services, XML, Visual Basic, ADO, SQL Server, DTS, UML, COM+ and run in a distributed environment. Throughout this time I have gained considerable knowledge and experience in these technologies and have benefited from directly interacting with the business units.

Recently, I have been working at Alberta Learning working on a set of applications used by students, internal staff and institutions to create and maintain student loans and scholarships. The system consists of three ASP.NET applications and are built using .NET technologies, namely, VB.NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, Web Services, Biztalk, ADO.NET, XML, Enterprise Services and CONNX. As lead developer I was directly responsible for:

• adding security components to the internet, intranet and extranet applications
• authenticating online students
• adding major business functionality to disburse student funds and tuition remittances
• adding business activity subsystem
• providing instruction classes to junior developers

I have successfully completed the Microsoft Certification examination for ASP.NET.
